Safe Arrow Retrieval
WALK to the target. Look for arrows in the ground short of the target when collecting.
Approach the target from the side.
Stand back and to the side if there are others pulling out their arrows.
Always place a hand on the target, pushing firmly to ensure that the target does not move when you are pulling out the arrows.
Hold the arrow as near to the point as possible when pulling.
Always ensure the arrows are carried with the points down so as to avoid injury to self and others.
Before returning to the shooting line, check the targets and stands to make sure they are left secure and in the correct position. |
